This simple game of strategy dates back to the Roman period, and was popular in the medieval and Tudor eras. Two players alternately place men on a board, trying to make rows of three while preventing their opponent from doing so. Each time a row of three is created a player gets to remove one of their opponent's men, and the winner is the first player to reduce their opponent's men to two.

This set contains a playing board 292 x 292 mm, nine black and nine white counters and full instructions on how to play, all housed in an attractive box 315 x 164 x 50 mm.
